My collection’s inspiration is Charlie Brown and the Peanuts as the comic is so iconic. In 2020 we celebrated the 70th anniversary of Charles Shultz’s comic and look back at how timeless his life’s work truly was as his comics still graze the pages of newspapers to this day. The concept was to take colors, and print direction from the comic and use directional pleating to create variations of Charlie Brown’s iconic zig zag.
Mark Rothko Outerwear
This outerwear collection is inspired by Mark Rothko and his Multiform oil paintings. Mark Rothko is an American modern artist known for the vivid colors he featured and the elegant simplicity of his work.
Billie Eilish
Taking a different spin on the Peanuts Comics, I used Billie Eilish as my next insporation and created a collection using her 2019 WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? album fashion aesthetic. Using prints inspired by the comics I created a streetwear collection of oversized clothing fit for billie, herself.
